Hoop Love Fitness is the latest fitness trend to hit Tokyo; a sensual, full body work out. The fun new form of spinning is sweeping the nation and is referred to as "waistline design".

Hips are gyrating, hearts are pumping and calories burning as "hoopers" pick up their brightly colored hula hoops and get into the spin.

Tokyo based Hoop Dance star, Deanne, encourages students to embrace their inner dancer and become one with the hoop flow as they sculpt their bodies, heighten their sensory awareness, and enjoy an action packed cardio vascular workout while burning up to 400 calories in 10 mintues.

Hoop Love Fitness classes are an action packed, soft on the joints, hard on the abs, intense, full body work out class that get hearts racing, hips wiggling and fat burning at high speed.

A fun alternative to mainstream exercise. Classes begin with a hoop warm up, followed by a fat burning core work out. Next "hoopers" learn sequential steps/tricks ready for the high energy hoop dance work out. After a yoga inspired cool down students celebrate their success with a Hoop Hooray.


Hoop Love Fitness classes welcome students of all ages and abilities.

HOOPLOVERS classes use Hoop Dance hoops which are adult sized dance hoops wrapped in grip tape for added hooping success.

What is Hoop Dance?
Hoop dance is an expressive form of dance using an adult size hoop. It is a powerful way to get in touch with your own beat, your playful spirit and your core. Hoop dance is a mood altering, body shaping, action packed way to move and groove.
I cannot hoop can I still come to a class?
Of course! Many people tell me that they cannot hoop but once I pass on a few little tips they are spinning all around the room/park with a huge smile on their face. The beginner classes are an ideal way to gain hooping confidence as well as explore your body and it's capabilities. It will surprise you!
Can I come to a Beginner's Hoop Dance class more than once?
Yes, of course you can. In fact it is a really great way to form a solid foundation for your hoop dancing. During a Beginner's class we work through a series of moves, tricks and styles, some of which you will possibly not master in one class alone. Each time you come to a Beginner's class we will build on what you have already learned to have you moving and grooving fluidly through the range of tricks and dance steps.
I have tried to hoop with kids hoops and I am not good at it, what am I doing wrong?
When you were a child your body was smaller and so were your hoops, now that you are all grown up you need a bigger, grown up size hoop. In the Hoop Lovers classes we use hoops with a diameter of 95 - 105 cm. You will feel the difference straight away.
I have a kids hoop at home should I bring it along to class?
HOOPLOVERS classes provide you with hoops to use during class. They are adult sized hoops and make Hoop Dance and other circus style tricks much easier to tackle.

What should I wear to class?
Get ready to sweat and burn off those calories! You will need to wear something that is comfortable but will not get caught up in the hoop. Body hugging cotton is great! Something sleeveless is ideal for shoulder hooping.
What can I expect from a HOOPLOVERS Hoop Dance class?
You can expect to have intense amounts of fun, work muscles you may not have worked in a long time and have a fabulous laugh! Of course you are going to get back what you give, so coming to class with a positive approach and an open attitude is going to allow your body to do wondrous things.During class we will explore body awareness, spend some time conditioning your body through a hoop style work out, work on hoop tricks, moves and combinations that will have you tearing up the dance floor, living room space or park in true hoop star style!
